In Haanel’s world, Universal Mind is the whole ball of wax. All of the qualities that different spiritual disciplines assign to higher powers are rolled into Universal Mind. In my world, my father used to caution me as a brash and judgmental 15-year-old ready who wanted to throw my teachers and coaches under the bus by warning me:

“Andy-boy, suspend your judgement because the facts are never all in.”

My spiritual teacher, John-Roger, would say something similar: whenever you think you’ve got it made, that your self-realization experiences the highest planes, say to yourself etc., meaning there is always more. He characterized etc as ‘eternally travelling consciousness.’

But I digress. These master key lessons of Mr. Haanel’s I find to be invaluable. He has taken the lessons of the ages and ordered them for our Western ways so that we may grasp them and use them. Coupled with Mark J’s wonderful contemporary research supporting the lessons, we have a regimen for continual personal growth.

Every lesson is identical but packaged in different presentations. This week we are reminded that we are all part of the whole and that our individual expressions are the result of that which we attract to us by way of our interests.

Interest produces attention, the mark of genius. Attention colored by desire i.e. enthusiasm (Law of Dual Thought – dang, I think I’m getting the hang of this stuff).

I really like this idea that “we are at all times a complete entity.” To grow we must accrue to ourselves and the only way to do that for a complete entity is to give away something to allow for the reciprocal action of receiving.

That’s why “the ability to produce is found to be the real source of wealth of the individual. It is for this reason that he who has his heart in his work is certain to meet with unbounded success. He will give and continually give; the more he gives, the more he will receive.” eg.Mark Januszewski, MKMMA
